Stay

At Palé Hall, a stay is something altogether different. Rooms and suites are shaped by the history of the house, where every detail speaks quietly of another era. Outside, the Dee Valley stretches wide and the hills of Snowdonia rise beyond. Come for a night, and find yourself wanting to stay much longer.

Country Pursuits

At Palé Hall, the estate is yours. Cast a line on the Dee, take on four drives of simulated clay shooting across the valley, or saddle up and head out into the hills. Walk the woodland, pick up a rod, or challenge the guns to a rematch. However the day unfolds, the landscape is always part of it.

SIMULATED DRIVEN CLAYS
Plan your day The Dee Valley doesn’t give itself up easily.
The road winds, the hills close in, the topography is for shooting.

As old as the hills. As good as it gets. Nowhere quite like this.

Palé Hall Estate expands into simulated game.

Set amongst some of the most breathtaking views the Berwyn Mountains have to offer, just a stone’s throw from the Hall and within the wild folds of the Dee Valley, the landscape is not simply a setting - it is the foundation of the experience.

A carefully curated selection of drives mirrors the reality of the field - fast partridges skimming the contours and high pheasants driven hard over the skyline.

Simulated shooting, exactly as it should be.

A DAY IN THE FIELD

The day begins at the Palé Hall shoot lodge.

Bacon sandwiches and good coffee - the right start for the day ahead.

From there, a short drive takes the line up into the hills, with spectacular views back across the Hall and out over the Dee Valley. The first two drives are designed to ease you into the day, finding your eye, your rhythm, and your confidence on the peg.

Mid-morning, the guns are rested and elevenses arrive on the field. Curated by chef partner Luke Selby, using the best produce the valley has to offer - classics, done properly, with a modern edge. Eat well. You'll need it.

The afternoon drives are where the day builds its reputation. Higher, faster, and more demanding, with a competitive edge that makes every clay count. Driven by terrain, wind, and elevation, each stand presents a new challenge.

Back at the lodge, lunch is cooked over charcoal - relaxed, generous, and exactly what the occasion deserves. A pint or two to settle the scores, relive the best shots of the day, and toast time well spent in the field.

DAY AVAILABILITY

10 pegs, upto 20 guns standing.
