Stay

At Palé Hall, a stay is something altogether different. Rooms and suites are shaped by the history of the house, where every detail speaks quietly of another era. Outside, the Dee Valley stretches wide and the hills of Snowdonia rise beyond. Come for a night, and find yourself wanting to stay much longer.

Dine

At Palé Hall, dining unfolds at its own pace - unhurried, considered, and rooted in the land that surrounds us. Each menu tells the story of the season, drawing on the finest Welsh produce for both lunch and dinner, whether you choose to follow the tasting menu or explore à la carte.

Explore

At Palé Hall, the estate is yours to explore. Cast a line, try your hand at clay shooting, or lose an afternoon in the pottery studio. Descend into the wine cellar, gather around the Hearth chef's table, or reserve the private dining room for an occasion worth remembering.

Country Pursuits

At Palé Hall, the estate is yours. Cast a line on the Dee, take on four drives of simulated clay shooting across the valley, or saddle up and head out into the hills. Walk the woodland, pick up a rod, or challenge the guns to a rematch. However the day unfolds, the landscape is always part of it.

PH Picnic

Find a view, open the Champagne, let the afternoon take care of itself.

Find your spot. Let the afternoon take care of itself. Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot is a collaboration between Palé Hall and one of the world's most celebrated Champagne houses, and it is best enjoyed somewhere on the estate, with no particular plans for what comes next.

The grounds of Palé Hall offer no shortage of places to settle. Follow the sculpture trail and find works set quietly into the hillside. Climb a little higher and look out over the Dee Valley below, the river catching the light, the hills of Eryri rolling into the distance. Wherever you choose, your picnic travels with you, prepared by our kitchen, paired with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot.

What's Included

Every picnic includes a selection of seasonal finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and homemade strawberry preserve, Nocellara olives, smoked almonds, and homemade macaroons. Food made to be shared slowly, outdoors, in good company.

With Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label  - £150

The classic expression. Full, generous and instantly recognisable, the perfect companion for an afternoon in the open air.

With Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame  -  £310

Veuve Clicquot's prestige cuvée, produced only in exceptional years. To open a bottle of La Grande Dame on a hillside above the Dee Valley is, quite simply, a very good idea.

Add It to Your Day

Le Picnic pairs naturally with other experiences on the estate - follow a morning in the wellness center, round off a clay shooting day, finishing up fly fishing on the bank of the River Dee or simply let it be the main event. Available to hotel guests and day visitors throughout the summer season; we recommend booking in advance. Our team will take care of everything else.
